CNET API - Beta version
Beta testers wanted
Welcome to the beta version of the CNET API. The CNET API currently includes data for tech and consumer electronics products such as computers, digital cameras, MP3 players, and TVs, as well as software titles and merchant pricing from CNET Certified Merchants. The interface is REST-based, supporting both XML and JSON response formats, and is designed for easy integration and data discovery.
We are currently collecting feedback from developers on the format and usability of the API. If you would like to participate as a beta tester, please sign up for a developer's key. As a beta tester, you will be able to experiment with the data types available and begin constructing query URLs. Your feedback will help us adjust the API formatting to meet the needs of the developer community prior to the public launch later this year.
To simplify query creation, we created a tool called the Dashboard allowing you to interactively select data sets to include in your XML response stream. Please note, the number of queries to the API per day will be limited during the beta period.
